It’s summer time and school is out. You can no longer depend on the magical yellow school bus that ferries your children away in the morning and returns them to you in the afternoon, all sleepy and tuckered out. No. For now, you have to keep your little ones engaged, learning, or busy. You can’t tell your kids to entertain themselves the same way you entertained yourself. It’s a new era and they know there’s more to technology than watching episodes of Looney Tunes or Duck Tales on the TV. (We know. We loved those shows too.)

Enter Fooz Kids, an application that you can download and install from www.foozkids.com. Fooz Kids was built from Adobe AIR and delivers a broad spectrum of kid-safe content that gives your kids the opportunity to browse for the content they love to engage with. Here’s a look at what Fooz Kids is all about:

Pre-Screened Content
We have a highly dedicated multi-tiered team of content gatekeepers who spend hours examining internet media and websites before approving them to the Fooz Kids list of pre-screened content. Our pre-screened list is full of websites, games, videos and more! Anything they deem not kid-friendly will be flagged, removed, and returned to the information abyss known as the internet.

Parent Controls
We’re not going to pretend that we know your kids better than you. That’s why we made sure you—the parent—will have complete control over what your kids can do. We’re positive you know something we don’t when it comes to your child’s interests. If what your kid likes isn’t found in our pre-screened list, you can edit the list of websites, videos and games your kids can go to.

You can also set up separate accounts with individual settings for each of your kids.

Creator
Your kid’s Fooz Kids experience begins with the Avatar Creator, which will allow them to create virtual look-a-likes, or avatars. They can customize their avatars from a gallery of unique facial features and virtual clothes and items.

Places
At Fooz Kids, we created an area for kids to create or design their dream room. They can place their avatars, their friends’ avatars, and other toys and furniture and arrange it to their liking. In the future, you can expect to see environments such as beaches, parks, outer space or more.

Crafts
While watching videos, playing games and visiting websites on the computer can be exciting, Fooz Kids can also engage your kids offline. Print out coloring pages, paper folding, posters and other materials that will let your kids explore their creativity.
